Memorizing scripture is a powerful way to help our children learn about God and fill their hearts and minds with the Holy Spirit.
Many parents, including myself, can be overwhelmed by this and are not sure how to start. Don't forget, children are like sponges and remember things very fast! I tried this with my son and I was amazed how quick he learned.
Here are some tips to get started:
- Make it a game and get your child excited :)
- Print the cards below and let your child choose one to start with. Ideally, print them on harder paper that won't get quickly damaged.
- Repeat it and talk about it together, before bed or at breakfast, in the morning
- Pray that the Lord may give you wisdom and courage.
