If you want to start to memorize bible verses, or help your children do it, let me just say: this is a blessed activity!
Starting is not hard:
pick a bible verse (or a bible card.)
talk to your child about it: child, the word of God is so important for our lives, I would really like us to start to get to know it better (together). As often as possible, we will read it together, pray over it, recite it and the Holy spirit will work to change our hearts. I cannot wait to do this together!
Take every opportunity to draw near the word of God together with your child: read it during breakfast, before bed, with lunch, when you are on the bike, on your way to school.
Post it in your home, on the fridge, on the walls. Let them see it and remember it
There will be days when you won't have time, or energy, or strength or days when your child will be sick, or upset, or angry: do not worry if you skip some days, or maybe weeks. Just get back to it every single time you can.
